Wedding Cigar Roller

Melissa, on February 29, 2016 at 3:35 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12

Has anyone hired a cigar roller for their wedding? I heard about it and I think my fiancé would love it. Just looking for your thoughts!

Are you having an outside venue? Our venue does not allow smoking anywhere on the premises. That might be something to look into.

I agree with kait. You should probably check with the venue regulations to see if they allow smoking on the premises. Besides that it sounds like a cool idea. Are you thinking for your FH and party or for the guests? You could probably arrange it for him and his guys as they prepare or for after the ceremony for a personal touch.

No venue will allow smoking inside in my area.

And I don't understand, honestly, what's cool about it.

I hate cigar smoke and would see myself out pretty quickly if it was noticeable. It's also a huge asthma attack trigger.

A friend of mine did this last summer. Honestly, nobody really smoked them. The people who did stood so close to the screen doors of the venue, buy dinner the whole place reeked of cigars. By the end, she was forcing certain guests (mostly golfers) to take them home. I won't lie...we have 6 in our freezer...they will never be smoked. I feel like if you want cigars at the wedding buy a few boxes of good cigars and make them available.

I had a friend who did one and it was awesome! Except for the fact everyone was so interested in cigars that no one was inside dancing which the bride was not very happy about. I'd say make it a cocktail hour or late night thing to avoid that.

My FH and his GMs are big cigar smokers, but my FH nixed the idea of a roller because he wants to be with me and enjoy our guests. He will have a box handy for him and his bud's to smoke (I share with him sometimes) but it won't be a focus. My initial reaction was "oh he'll love it", but I see so many reasons now, not to (smell, smoke, has to go outside, guests anti-smoking, being away from me/dance floor/food/drink...etc etc etc)

I was going to but it was something crazy like $500 to rent and then $20 per cigar rolled with a minimum of 25 or something. I figured close to $1000 and only a handful of people that would use it So I didn't do it. But I love the idea!

Cigar rollers are very cool at a wedding, but make sure that is what you want to be spending money on. Not cheap. Cigars are not something that is cheap in any way shape or form lol, but very popular! It's pretty neat being able to walk up and watch them roll them while they hand you a fresh one ;-) Best of luck to you, and have fun!

    Sincerely, David (DJ Leeds)

Cigar rollers for weddings are an upscale touch to the event. Cigars, (different from cigarettes) represent a status, a celebration, the act of accomplishing something in life, for non-regular cigar smokers that's what a good cigar represent. A cigar roller for a wedding it's mostly to demonstrate

the finest craft that is rolling cigars, not to create a cigar lounge out of the venue, but many cigar smokers actually love to celebrate these events with a fine cigar. Check our prices! we are considerable affordable ! congrats on your wedding! https://www.dfwcigarroller.com/

We’re considering it for our wedding. Although smoking isn’t allowed indoors and even if they rolled the cigar the rolled cigar isn’t what would be smoked. You just get to see the concept. This is what “The Cigar Guys” told me when I inquired. It’s about $800 and to the point that another commentator made, we may just buy a box of cigars and have them at our sweet table.
