Wedding Colors/ Theme ?

Lauren, on July 21, 2020 at 6:04 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 33

Hello everybody💕 what are your wedding colors & theme if you have one? Was it influenced by the season you’re having your wedding? I’m having a spring wedding & it’s our favorite time of year .. There’s not really a theme but we’re having it outside at Castleton Farms in the Tuscan Vineyard Gardens, we want it to be timeless, elegant & romantic .. Here are the colors that we’re thinking Navy, Dusty Lavender & Neutrals ( White, Gold, Silver & Grey, but then I saw a photo on Pinterest that caught my eye what do you all think ?

I had a spring wedding and I went with blush pink and mint as my colors. I know I always one of those colors so I think regardless of the season that I was going to be in I would have those colors anyways

Our wedding is in October, it’s our favorite month! We are doing purples and gray and silver. Mine and his favorite colors. Ours is outdoors in a park and the reception in the event center. Lots of wood accents and white marble also. We didn’t really have a theme either.

With neutrals and a light lavender, you might want to add something else to pop like green.

My wedding is in the summer, and we're doing cerulean blue, sparkly silver, and white! We don't have an official theme, though a lot of our decorations seem to follow a forest theme.

I was inspired by my FH and I. If you ask anyone who knows us what they think of when you say our names, the answer will be red white and blue and the american flag. We are both very patriotic, so we decided to have a Red White and I Do BBQ. I will be doing a rustic/Americana style.

We are getting married in December and our colors are navy blue and silver. I always wanted a winter wedding and since we live in FL, it is the least hot season. We chose navy because it is a classic color and silver because it can give a little sparkle. White is our other accent color to help give a crisp, clean look.

We don’t really have a “theme” but I call our style casual chic. We want to be comfortable and low key but with a touch of elegance. I am wearing Converse high-top chucks with my dress to give an example.

I am getting married in the Fall & ALWAYS knew that if I ever got married, that was the only season I’d ever do it in. I 100% thought I would have a fall theme and color scheme. But, to my surprise, we aren’t!! We ended up choosing a theme that was significant to us individually, and as a couple. I have been absolutely obsessed with a Autumn and Halloween since I was a small child, so I am quite sure all my family and friends are going to be expecting an over-the-top Fall/Halloween decor. I like the idea of surprising them lol

Colors: champagne and glitter gold with a touch of wine. Theme: champagne life (because champagne is the main color). We will also incorporate the theme by having mini gold bottles of champagne as favors. We chose the colors because my favorite color is gold and he always wanted maroon as wedding color. We went with wine instead because it’s more rich in color.

This is very pretty! Personally, I don't like gold and silver together so I would probably do one or the other rather than both. I prefer silver, but that's just my preference. Our wedding colors were red and black with blush and silver as accents. We picked red and black because my husband's favorite hockey team are the New Jersey Devil's and that's their colors. I also always envisioned red roses at my wedding so it worked out perfectly. We did have of couple of sports themed things at our wedding. Our "guest books" were one NJ Devil's jersey and one Baltimore Orioles jersey. Our escort cards looked like hockey/baseball tickets. Our wedding was in the summer so our colors weren't necessarily typical summer colors, but we didn't care.

I think that would be beautiful. We have a marble theme but we'll have pops of wine and navy blue with silver trimmings within the decor. Our wedding will be a Creative Black Tie event.

My wedding will be at the beginning of spring next year and the colors are classic blue (Pantone color of the year for 2020), white, pink, with accent colors gold and red. The blue and pink are a nice colors to transition from winter to spring. It’s not really a theme but majority of the decor will be the blue/white chinoiserie style vases and ginger jars that will tie into my heritage (Chinese). And those jars will be filled with pink flowers.

I always thought I'd get married in December since I love winter so much, but surprise surprise I'm having a summer wedding lol Our theme is 'Summer Nights Festival' and our colors are navy blue, black & gold. We each chose a favorite color and added gold as a bit of a pop, given how things are looking it's going to have a bit of a rustic feel to it.

For your colors, maybe try one neutral so gold or silver to accompany the navy & dusty lavender?

We had a summer wedding, and didn't care if our colors "matched" the season.

Our colors were related to our theme - our baseball team. (So... I guess summer?) Red and blue... and then purple, which is my favorite color, and conveniently what red and blue make! (Purple was going to happen, we just got lucky.)

I'm one of those ornery folk who get annoyed that colors are assigned a season, and I say pick the colors that make you happy. I even resisted the idea of a theme, which is *hilarious*... I was the one who found the invitations years and years before DH proposed. And they were our baseball team. About halfway through planning, I was loudly protesting that there wasn't a THEME, THANK YOU, and DH just... looked at me. Gently. Darling. Honey. There isn't a theme? What did we just make the cake into? Me: ... a baseball with theatre faces on it. Oh.

So. Have a theme, don't have a theme, but have the wedding that reflects your love and your personalities. Even if that means neon pink and olive green or something.

We were getting married in October but have shifted things to May. We are keeping the same colors and theme as it is personal to us. The idea is to feel like you’re outdoors under the night sky so we’re going to do a Celestial / Naturalist theme, with lots of stars, moons, moss and ferns. We love astronomy and camping/hiking, especially in places with ferns and moss, and where we can gaze at the stars. Our colors are Navy, Gold with touches of Silver and Green.
