Wedding colors!

Lieree, on November 9, 2023 at 12:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 3
Just chose our wedding colors and looking for opinions and advice on how we can incorporate these colors into our decor and attire. We chose black, orange, red, a deep blue, and a dusty purple. The green is just to represent the tons of greenery that I’m wanting as well. Is it too many colors? Does it look bad?
We’re having an intimate (no more than 75 guests) outdoor wedding on October 12th of next year! Thank you in advance for the advice Smiley smile Wedding colors! 1

It is a lot of colors and maybe it's just my screen but some of the colors aren't matching with what you said they are. The colors look like green, orange, a rusty/cinnamon color, purple or blue hard to tell, pink and black. They might look different in person though. I would try to arrow it down a bit. Are you going for a Halloween vibe if so then definitely keep the orange and black. If you are trying to avoid a Halloween vibe then don't make them your main colors. I personally wouldn't do anymore than three colors. I am not a fan of black and blue together so I would eliminate one of them. I also don't know as if I'd count the green if it's just being used as just greenery. I would think black, orange and a deep purple could look really pretty together. But then again it might come across as a very Halloween feel to it. I think part of deciding on the colors comes down to the vibe that you want.

Since you asked for opinions... I don't feel the colors really "flow" together or compliment eachother. Here are some beautiful Autumn color schemes that have similar colors in them:

    Wedding colors! 3

    Wedding colors! 4

    Wedding colors! 5

In the end though, it's your wedding and you should do whatever you really love!

I would choose 3 colors and that is it. I think you have too many colors right now and they don’t seem cohesive. Decide on the feel/vibe/theme you want to create and then pick the colors that will fit that feel. The previous poster had some really nice complementary colors.
