If you sign up at the knot, they will send you emails about contests

Try to visit as many bridal shows in your area as possible. They usually have raffles or serious discounts. I only went to one, but there were vendors giving away things like $300 off your photo package to something like 2 free extra hours for a DJ. It's all about luck, but you never know!

Check bridal expos in ur area. The vendors do a bunch of drawings. Just be sure to stay til the end because that's when the good gifts r raffles off

Hi Chrissy! Welcome to WeddingWire and congrats on your engagement Smiley heart

Bridal expos near you, open houses, showcases, and more are great ways to find deals, drawings, & contests as you approach your wedding day. Vendors post their packages and deals all over social media and at events like these, usually alongside give-aways and more!

I agree with the others: The Knot is a great place to start. Local media sources will also have listings of events in your area.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions during your wedding planning process, please don't hesitate to connect or post another discussion Smiley heart We are always happy to help!

Hate to be the voice of reason, but most raffles and prizes at those wedding expos are scams. Just be cautious when responding to your "win". Examples: You win a trip but the service fees are as much as a trip would cost - You win free rings but have to sit through a presentation of overpriced cookware - You win a free makeover from Mary Kay which is them getting a chance to make you feel obligated to buy stuff - You win a free photo session, but you have to pay for the digital copies or prints. The list goes on and on.

Just to piggy back off this, I would proceed with caution. Yes, most do some with a caveat..but you can get around it. With the “free trip” they do offer your expensive cookware. You DON’T have to buy it. I went to one of these presentations & many couples sternly said no & still received there packages. You have to pay $75 when you book the package, which are the taxes on the hotel..it’s usually 2 free nights. I’d never stop at the Mary Kay, It Works, Lipsense etc tables..YOU WILL BE SPAMMED & CALLED FREQUENTLY.

But I have won a free luggage travel case, a veil, 2 electric water flossers & a FREE teeth whitening package from Bightside dental, bridal apparel, a free dress (minus alterations..that I gifted to someone), $850 off tuxedos from President Tuxedo for my FH & received other discounts as well! You just need to be very sure of your needs & be strong-willed bc the vendors can get VERY aggressive. A lot of ppl will say they picked you as a lucky winner when they have told everyone else the same thing. Lol

Yes, very true. Make sure to read the fine print and realize that they are really out to get your business so don't be a pushover. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
