Hello everyone. Whether you're getting married or got married please share your reasoning for choosing your wedding date. Was it because the date has meaning behind it or was it simply because that was the date of available active in your you wanted. I will say I'm on the latter half. I got married this year November 8th and there's no special meeting behind our date rather I found the perfect and affordable venue and they offered elopement specials on Sundays and that was one of the days my husband chose cuz I was thinking maybe October and he said if why don't we hido November 8th. I will say a little back story is that the fall and the winter are my favorite Seasons especially because in Florida it start to cool down and even on the hottest days it is nothing like summer in Florida where it's just humid. I knew I have always wanted a fall wedding so it was easy choosing the season and even though there's no special meaning behind the date now November 8th is very special in my heart because it's the day that I finally got to marry the man that I loved and we started our new Journey as husband and wife. What's your story

Had a dream for September 26th, 2020. Nothing went wrong in my dream and it was beautiful. Looked up the date the next morning saw it was a Saturday and I just knew that had to be it. Down the line, I had half my vendors booked and was trying to figure out hotel blocks. Turned out there was an international golf tournament that weekend and there were NO hotels available. So after crying, we moved to September 5th which sucked because it's labor day. But none of that mattered because we had to cancel anyways 😂😭. So now it's August 28th. The only other option was Sept 11th which we were not going to do.

Nothing special about the date we chose. Like you, I kind of based it on the season. I live in Southern California and always knew I absolutely did NOT want a summer wedding. I love summer time but the thought of trying to get hair/makeup done and wearing a long fancy dress in the summer time was not something I wanted to do. lol. Fall and winter are my two favorite seasons. I originally wanted an October wedding but October has become so very very popular. So we talked about a winter December wedding and I fell in love with that idea. So I found the venue and they had 12/12/2020 available so we booked it. But then in August we decided to postpone to December 2021 and the Saturday date they had available was 12/4/2021

Don't come for me, Smiley xd eyerolling and side-eyeing acceptable.

My husband had been separated from his ex wife for several years when we met but had never filed the paperwork. Our wedding date was arranged as soon as possible after their final court date. Our courts are backed up for MONTHS so he filed in May and it wasn't finalized until October. We actually went and got our marriage license the same day his divorce was finalized.

Good morning! We wanted a later spring wedding because that timeline seems to work best with crazy Ohio weather. Didn't want April because my birthday and both sets of parent's anniversaries are that month. Our dating anniversary is in May so we are going with Friday the 20th which is close and our photographer/videographer of choice was available that day. So a little bit of both for us.

I think that is a good reason and May is a lovely month for a wedding.

We want to get married in the fall because it's our favorite season. We were originally getting married on 10/02/2021 because we both wanted an October wedding. We don't know yet if we'll be sticking with an October date but hopefully it'll just become 10/01/2022.
