Wedding Day Packing List

mel, on May 23, 2017 at 2:34 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10

Anyone have a packing list (preferably editable) for all their decor items that need to be packed up and taken to the venue? A quick google search only gave me a packing list for what the bride needs (jewelry, emergency kit, etc.)

I'm hoping to find one that will help me figure out all the decor I still need to buy/make.

If you find one let me know! I'll probably make one myself and keep updating it until closer to day of. Still have stuff to make for wedding let alone pack up! Its raining this week, so maybe I can get FH to help me in the evenings since he cant work outside.

Besides decor, I sent: tape, scissors, markers/pens, diagrams and some snackies for the doc.

Are you looking for what kind of decor? Centerpieces, guest book, escort cards, favors, table and other signs.

Having a packing list is a brilliant idea. I was just thinking recently that I KNOW I will forget something. It didn't occur to me to make up a list though.

Get those big plastic totes. When you have something like decor or even if you have bride and groom cups put them directly into tote. Make a list of things you may need. Tape, scissors, pens(markers) for guestbook and signing license. Glue maybe for any DIY that may get damaged in move. It's always better to over prepare than be standing there needing something

@Nonna T, yes I've got so many projects going on and don't want to forget packing all the details or forget to buy/make something. Stuff for s'mores bar, chair signs, dessert bar decor/signs, guestbook table stuff, etc. I could make it myself but was looking for something to start with.

I looked through my DOC contract and found this list. Unless another commenter has a better list I might start with this one:

    Ceremony set up items:

    Guest book/ pens

    Programs

    Gift card box

    Bubbles

Altar items (sand ceremony, wine ceremony, unity candle, time capsule ceremony, etc.)

    Cocktail Hour set up:

Move your guestbook/gift card box from ceremony to cocktail hour

    Escort cards or display

Bar menu- if you are providing one

    Reception:

    Favors

Menu cards- if you are providing them

    Votives

    Champagne toasting flutes for Bride/Groom

    Cake knife/server

    Table numbers

    Place cards

    Disposable cameras

I will be creating my own. I also bought 8 clear plastic bins from Walmart and will be labeling them for the doc so she knows what's inside and what goes where, what's fragile etc.

Start with that list, but as you do your projects, add those items to the list!

I've got clear plastic totes also. We are decorating the day before so hopefully if we forget anything we still have time. I really should do a list though in case I am too frazzled

I made a huge checklist myself already. I look at it often to see if I'm missing anything. Clear bins are the way to go!
