Wedding Day Timeline

Do you happen to have a day of coordinator? My coordinator set up my timeline for the day

My timeline was set by talking to all my different vendors. For instance, I asked how long my hair and makeup artists estimated for getting all the women ready, and then I asked my photographer how long they wanted to budget for pre-ceremony photos. From there, I subtracted the time. For instance, if ceremony is at 4pm and photographer wants 2 hours for photos (I’d probably pad in an extra half hour since things undoubtedly fall off schedule), meaning you want to be ready for photos at 1:30pm. Then work backwards from hair and makeup estimate to find out start time for that. The DJ helped us with creating our reception timeline.

View Quoted Comment I VERY strongly recommend one. I almost consider it a necessity. My coordinator set up my timeline. Mine talked to and coordinated with all of my vendors on when to show up and set up everything. She set up all of my decor how I wanted. Day of the wedding she was paired up with my photographer making sure everything was moving forward at the times it should. I didn’t have to think about a single thing. She took care of everything! I was just able to relax and enjoy my wedding day with family and friends and none of our loved ones had to worry about helping us. They could just enjoy the day. I know it’s an extra expense but it’s worth every single dollar. I’ve never seen anyone regret getting one

View Quoted Comment Mine was recommend through my venue. She didn’t work for them but is someone they’ve worked with before and people recommended. So you can ask your venue if they have any recommendations but you can also search on here or on other wedding sites for coordinators in the area you’re getting married in. I loved my coordinator and my husband and I got super lucky that we found vendors we loved and got along with well. That was a must for us. They were all professional and wonderful and easy going people but outside of our photographer she was easily the best person we chose to hire. Couldn’t have asked for a smoother day

View Quoted Comment So that was a random number I pulled out of thin air. I would speak with your photographer about how long they think photos would take. I remember we started around 1pm, and we had a 5pm ceremony start time.
