My FH and his family are apart of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and we’re planning on having our wedding within the church since it’s free and we can’t afford much. I’m not Mormon nor plan on transitioning, but we are still able to marry there since it’s not the temple.
I just want to know if anyone else has had their wedding (ceremony/reception) or will be having their wedding within the church and if they have my ideas on what to do with the ceiling in general? I’ve seen ideas of using like gauze to hang to cover it but it looks like it really makes the room seem cramped with everything and that is not the look I’m going for.
Drop ideas if you have any! I want to include fairy lights for the decor and thought maybe stringing those up a bit? But, I still don’t want to make it extravagant and overcrowded if I want to make sure it doesn’t look like a gym.
