Hey everyone, my fiancé and I wanna start getting things ready for our wedding and the reception. She’s wanting to do some DIY center pieces for the tables and some wedding favors. Any ideas? Btw it’s at the beach and the reception is a beach themed too. Thanks in advance.

All I have to say is stay simple for the centerpieces. people won't even remember what was there lol. I'm finishing mine up and I wish I would've gone the simpler route. good luck!!

Etsy, Amazon. Tell her to look up beach wedding centerpiece on Pinterest and when she finds something she likes, look at Amazon to see the cost. Etsy is great too.
Maybe you could have settled of sand for table numbers and fake starfish or something

    Adam,

My hat is off to you and your fiancé for wanting to go the DIY route because unless you are experienced with crafting, you definitely have a challenge ahead of you.

Before delving too much into potential crafts as favors here are some things to consider:

    -What is your overall budget?
-How many guests will be in your wedding?
-What are the lives/habits of your guests like?

Serious Tip: Go the the hardware store together and get color swatches. Get at least two sets each: One at home, and one to stay in the glove compartment of your car. (Trust me, this will save you a massive headache). Color swatches will come in handy for crafting and attire.

Crafting can quickly become expensive. Crafting for multiple people can also become expensive. While crafting for everyone on an individual level would be exceptionally time consuming, as a general rule, food/home indulgence is a "useful" favor that everyone can appreciate without any extra upkeep.

    Some examples:
    -Making your own spice blends
    -Room Spray
    -Body scrub
-Soap (especially handy for traveling guests)
    -Jellies/Jams
    -Coffee, tea, or chocolate samples

    -Fridge Magnets

    Some ideas:

Consider: Doing a "trial run" on a few favors, and see if it is worth the effort, time and money to pursue at full-scale.

With centerpieces, you can make some calculated decisions once you know what season your wedding will take place.

Consider: Sometimes purchasing real flowers will cost less than crafting. Find some arrangements that you like, and go "price shopping" with the florists.

If you still want to craft centerpieces, there are plenty of youtube channels, instagram and pinterest pages at the ready!

I don't know which state you are in, but if you are by the coast, it might be worth a shot going to some thrift stores and looking for unique ocean-themed items and incorporating those into the centerpieces.
