Wedding decorator prices

Jonathan, on May 18, 2017 at 7:37 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

This guy is charging us $8,900 for decorations, centerpieces, silverware, and linens, dj, flowers, lights, servers, set up and clean up, and all for both ceremony and reception is this a good price or is this over board?

    I think that's a good price.

I'm paying around $6000 for just decorations, flowers/bouquets, centerpieces, labor/set up & takedown for both ceremony & reception.

Add in silverware, linens, DJ, lights, servers, I think you're getting a good price!

I'm paying 3,500 alone for just the wedding decorators.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, if it fits in your budget!

Jeez Louise posts like this make me regret getting married in NY. Bruh, that sounds like a great deal to me

It's impossible for us to tell.

decorations--what decorations? If it's crepe paper streamers and balloons, then it's not a good deal at all. If it's soft seating and thematic elements and archways and mirrors and draping, it's a steal.

centerpieces--what centerpieces? And how many? If it's one votive candle on a piece of mirror for each of two tables, it's a ripoff. If it's exotic giant florals for 30 tables, then it's a fantastic deal.

silverware--again, what kind and how many? A box of plastic forks, or real silver service?

linens--again, are we talking dollar store plastic or sequins and natural fibers?

dj--is the DJ good? How long does he or she play? Would you hire this individual if they weren't bundled with tablecloths and plates and flowers?

flowers--again, how many and what kind?

lights--strings of patio lights? Uplights? What kind of lights do you wan/need?

servers--how many? Is it an adequate number for your guest count?

set up and clean up--How extensive will this be?

I agree that it depends on the quality of the items. Can you check reviews, ask for pictures and examples of what you'll be getting?

That's a bargain but I would do a lot of research into the suppliers and vendors he's working with. His quote sounds very nice, too nice for that price.

That is extremely overboard by about 5000 dollars
