Wedding Destination Jamaica, Mexico or Dr?

Jessica, on March 24, 2021 at 5:48 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well.

I'm looking for any suggestions in hotels or any place for a wedding destination in the Caribbean. I hear about Kukua Beach Club/ Restaurant, but we are looking for a place that offers a religious ceremony. I believe they have to have a Chapel for that. 30 - 50 people. If they packages that offer free wedding even better. The budget is about 5k - 7k.

Thank you all for the info.

I believe Sandals offer "free" weddings if you and your guests book a certain number of rooms. But I don't know about the religious ceremony aspect. Sandals Negril in Jamaica is beautiful, especially around sunset.

Avoid Iberostar. I think the Sandals wedding is only free for a wedding up to like 10 guests. But it’s also been a year since I’ve looked into it. DR and Mexico are going to be much cheaper than Jamaica. Our beach wedding in Jamaica was $25K for 50 guests.

Avoid “free weddings” because the cost is passed to your guests. They’re generally required to stay at that expensive resort. For a destination wedding, it’s good hosting to provide “extra” to your guests such as a welcome night dinner, or free airport/hotel transportation, etc. Make sure venues you choose doesn’t have a required minimum hotel stay or if you have few guests who attend or stay, you’ll be out of pocket paying for those rooms.

    Hi there,

Thank you for the input. My sister in law also have tome share and we’re trying to see if we can get room even cheaper. Now I’m looking at the Moon Palace on Cancun. They seem to be affordable and have the chapel I was looking for. If this doesn’t work my next one will be kukua in Punta Cana. Any hotels suggestions in DR?
    Thank you all

Hope your sister’s time share works out. Or the Moon Palace (with the chapel you want) sounds great!
