Wedding dreams... not the good kind...

Laura, on August 31, 2020 at 8:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

So, at about a month out - it happened. The dreaded dreams - the worry about back fat, the worry that Covid will strike again... This is normal right? Shudders.

Miss you guys.

It is normal. I found that I got them the closer it was to my wedding day

I've never had them, but many women on weddingwire have shared stories of this.

I have them every. Single. Night. At least some nights they are neutral now. I think still working from home and being relatively isolated has made them worse than they would have otherwise been

Exactly! Wfh plus covid plus just ugh. Wedding nightmares are the worst.

Maybe it's like what they say about pregnancy - the worse your morning sickness the better for the baby, or some other nonsense to make pretend luck. 😂

I’m 32 days out and about 2 weeks ago pure panic set in. So much undone still.

The night before our wedding I woke up in a panic because I dreamed my now husband was smothering me with a pillow. Weird dreams are a normal response to stress.

My wedding nightmares have all been fairly ridiculous, but for now they seem to have stopped. Hopefully yours will go away soon too!

It's normal, don't stress. Your mind is in overdrive. Step back, take a deep breath and start giving yourself more time to sleep - they'll go away, I promise.

I am 5 weeks out and I have now had about 2-3 dreams where my minimony was HORRIBLE. I think its normal, I've seen alot of posts on wedding wire about it. At first I was like people are being dramatic until I experienced them as I am getting closer to the date lol

I'm 33 days out and they've started in the last two weeks or so. They're completely insane and unrealistic and yet I wake up feeling so foggy and stressed. To be fair, no cold feet and no concerns of this actually being right. Just crazy thing like the venue cancels the day of, or our officiant doesn't show, or the bridesmaids get back their dresses and they're all Hawaiian floral print. Randomness.

Coming back here to share that I had the worst dream yet last night. FH became terminally ill and we weren't sure he would make it in time for the wedding, but there was no earlier date at our church to be married.

I seriously need to do some meditation or something.

Mine are insecurities - venue cancels, dress doesn't fit, I look like I gained 900lbs in photos... all that... Sigh and gulp.

Hey, I remember you were having a corset put into your gown. How did it work out? I missed it if you already updated.

Hiya! So far so good. The dress still isn't fitting exactly right - and it turns out the dress was a lot closer to it fitting properly than it seemed. I still have an ulcer about it - and I'm worried I'll look like a stuffed sausage. But, I can see it on the 12th with the bra and hemmed - I'm hoping it's the transformation I'm looking for!!!!!!!! Any advice??????

No real advice other than have a glass of wine! Or two or three!

I’m sure the dress will be fine, try not to worry...but it is gut wrenching. Can’t wait to see the pictures! I’m sure you won’t look like a stuffed sausage.
