My budget for my wedding dress is $500-$700. My friends said I was WAY UNDER BUDGET!! They were right, all the dresses I like begin at $900 not including alterations; with alterations, I'm looking at $1300- 1500!! David’s bridal IS NOT going out of business. They were bought by another company but still staying as David’s Bridal. They have sales for dresses they’ve had in stock FOR YEARS and currently making room for new inventory

Check out Vow'd Weddings. Some dresses under $1,000 and they will drop down to sale prices even with several sizes left. All dresses are kept in stock so you can receive it within a couple weeks.

Check for clearance dresses, too! Mine was $800, and I got it for $150 because it was getting phased out. I bought it off the rack and had it altered so it fit me.

I have a similar budget (about $500). If you know someone who knows how to sew (like REALLY sew and create) gowns and dressing along the lines of wedding dresses or high end cosplay, etc, you might see if they are willing to help you out. Fabric is not cheap, but it is cheaper than buying brand new (and even used) in some cases.
My plan (I am just under a month engaged) is to make my wedding dress with my mother, and possibly with a friend's help. But there are years of experience in the family; and various friends in theatre and cosplay.

I live in Texas and over 13 stores are shutting down and 144 jobs have been cut. I also worked there and was just laid off.

You could try stores that sell seconds or previous years' models. I got my satin ballgown from a place like that for $800.

I'm going the vintage route. I've bought several 1930s dresses since I'm buying online and can't try on. All three dresses were $200 - $350. Look at vintage and second hand options.

I would caution against Doris- they are one of those cheap knock off sites

My dress budget is less than $300. I can't imagine spending more than that on a dress. Amazon has lots of cute options. 😊

The last two weddings I have been to the brides dress was under $100, (one was $20 and absolutely gorgeous). Both were purchased through amazon. Reverse image search any that you like to ensure it's the original vendor and not a terrible knockoff. You can also order multiple dresses and return what you don't like. Consignment stores are also an option but stock will be more limited.
