Ok, so, long story short, im going to make short sentences spaced out to make this as easy as possible.

I ordered my dress in the size the bridal shop said I measured into.

It was a little tight under the bust when I got it.

I have been losing weight, but was afraid to take the chance of it not fitting, so I had my seamstress put a corset in.

I just picked it up Thursday, and havent been able to have the dress 'properly laced up' with 2 people helping to see how it will truly look.
The pic above is the best I can get it for now.

My seamstress told me Thursday if i continue losing weight that the corset is going to "overlap" or basically just make it useless.

She can put a zipper and buttons back in, but I don't want to do that until I'm POSITIVE it will fit well without having to squeeze me into it.

The problem Is, i think i hate the corset. I didn't realize how much I liked the back until it was gone.

What do y'all think? Does the corset look ok? Am I over analyzing this?

All my friends keep saying the corset looks great, but I feel like they're just trying to be nice.

I also like the buttons better. It’s such a pretty back and the corset takes away from that. Just my op ion. Good luck

As much as I usually hate buttons, I think they look better in this case. I think if the corset laid flat and smooth, that would change my opinion.

After i read about to take my dress off my friend that laced me up said she thought she laced it the wrong way. She re did this part and took a pic. Is this what you mean by lay flat?

I know, and i was super obsessed with my dress until a couple days ago when i tried ir on again. Now im just afraid i may not have lost enough weight for the zipper to work.

Something more like that, yes. Also, I think part of what makes it look off is that there isn't anything behind the corset and the loops are really big. If you want to keep the corset, I would have it adjusted and use a different ribbon.

I'm normally a fan of corsets, but I prefer the buttons on your dress.
