Wedding dress doesn’t fit !

sydney, on June 16, 2019 at 10:33 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 60
So I went in for my first fitting yesterday and my seamstress tried to button it in the back and looked at me and said “it doesn’t button”!!!!! I have to loose two inches off my waist in order for the dress to button in the back. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips on loosing two inches off a waist in 3 months ! I literally based my color scheme off my dress so if I was to buy a new dress I would be devastated! HELP

When I picked up my dress i was in the same situation. I tried intermittent fasting and it helped. I zipped up beautifully when i took it for my fitting. She could also let the dress out a little if worse comes to worst.

This is my dress in the back . It’s sheer so a thought about using a waist clincher and she is unable to let the dress out a little due to the beading and lace ! I’m coming back to her in 3 three weeks. My Goal is to cut out all sugar and fast food and greasy foods !

Don’t stress! That won’t help at all! Just start eating a little less calories and exercising a little more, you have some time just get on it now I think you’ll be fine!! Maybe try a detox too a week of the wedding!

2lbs is very doable in 3 months... when hubby was actively losing weight, he used to do about 2lbs per week. Exercise and do lots of cardio. Drink tons of water, and ONLY water (no soda, no juice, no alcohol). Completely cut out sugar. And very low carbs (potatoes are the best carbs for when you have to have carbs—better than rice, bread, pasta, etc)

This is the regimen my husband followed and he lost 50lbs in 1 year. You can do it! Also, myself and many other brides I’ve talked to, end up losing weight inadvertently in the couple weeks before the wedding because of stress!

I started about a week and a half ago I cut out pop and fast food I started taking these fat burning pills that also have caffeine in them because I get terrible migraines when I don’t have caffeine. Anyways I’ve lost 7 pounds in that week and a half. If you have the mind to do it you can do it quickly. I had trouble actually starting it though but now it’s crunch time! Good luck, you got this!!!

That’s totally doable! Definitely drink lots and lots of water, get a reusable water bottle and try to drink at least 8 (8-16oz ) bottles a day. Sometimes when we think we are hungry and our body just wants to be rehydrated. It’s also does wonders for your skin. Definitely cut out all soft drinks and if you can alcohol, those make you bloated!
Try to incorporate some crunches or any other ab work outs everyday. I found that even 15-30 mins a day of intensive ab work outs helps better (for waist) than cardio for me, of course everyone is different so try everything mentioned and see what works best for you. Good luck and don’t worry with little adjusting of diet and workout you will get there in no time!

I’ve lost 20 lbs since April 1st & losing weight is very hard for me. Some thoughts that worked for me, stick to a diet that actually works for you (a lot of people like Keto - I tried it, but honestly I was terrible at it, I’m much better at eating lots of veggies, lean meats) find a workout that works. Every day I do an hour workout it’s a combo of spin (fixed gear bike) and weights. I’m an ex-runner, but running didn’t work, the impact was too much for my joints. Drink tons of water, I drink water everyday all day. Water consumption has always been something that I struggle w/ so this was hard. Make sure you eat wholesome foods - be careful w/ eating “fat free foods that don’t have substance). Expect to be a bit hungry. Good luck!

Have you tried wearing some sort of spanx underneath or possibly adding a corset to the back? I'm in the middle of diet and exercise and so far I've lost 2" from my waist. It's taken about 6 weeks of eating fish & chicken and very little carbs and working out 5 days a week.

I will also give a vote for the keto diet. My neurologist put me on it for brain benefits in April and I have lost 40 lbs since then. And that’s just from the diet, I’m not much of a gym person.

Keto is a very low carb diet. If you do it right it can be very beneficial. Think basically meat and veggies and healthy fats, limit sugar and carbs. Salt doesnt really play into it too much, but its wise in general to limit your salt intake

My fiancé and I started keto last Monday and we lost 7 pounds! One pound a day! My dress fit me amazingly at my final fitting on Friday. And my rehearsal dinner maxi romper that wouldn’t zip 3 weeks ago now fits me perfectly! Keto is amazing if you keep your eye on the prize!
