So I went in for my first fitting yesterday and my seamstress tried to button it in the back and looked at me and said “it doesn’t button”!!!!! I have to loose two inches off my waist in order for the dress to button in the back. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips on loosing two inches off a waist in 3 months ! I literally based my color scheme off my dress so if I was to buy a new dress I would be devastated! HELP

Tips from a Weight Watcher here!! If this suits you, I'd suggest sticking to fruits, veggies, boneless skinless chicken, lean turkey, and eggs for main food items, and limit beef, pork, and all the high calorie stuff. Don't deprive yourself of the things you enjoy, just be aware of how much and how often you are eating those things. I lost 30lbs my first three months of weight watchers, and that was thanks to these basic guidelines, and that was even with being very lenient with these on the weekends.

Certified Personal trainer here. Honestly, 3 months is a decent amount of time to make lifestyle changes.. there is no such thing as target weight loss (meaning you can't pick to lose weight in one spot vs another). i have seen a lot of comments about ab workouts mind you, all that does is help build muscle... muscle can build over fat. If you workout your abs before losing the weight you want you will just build muscle over that shape. Thats why most people slim then tone. I recommend cutting any sugary drinks and processed foods. Intermittent fasting is great and drink black coffee (natural diuretic and acts as an appetite suppressant). I would try incorporating a little cardio just to help with any water weight as well... You could also do a waist trainer... Now don't do anything extreme but one recommended for posture fixing are usually pretty easy and not extreme so not damaging. It won't help you lose weight but it helps redistribute weight so your waist could fit into something smaller. Just my options. i workout in a waist trainer when I do leg days because it helps with keeping my posture and form correct. I have changed my waist by about an inch just in doing that and I don't even do it every day.

Try intermittent fasting!! I usually struggle with water weight/bloating, but since starting fasting I have notice a significant decrease in inches in the month I have been doing it.

3 months is a long time if you work out for 45mins-1hour Monday-Friday. Eat small meals. Do meal replacement shakes etc...

I lost a few inches off my waist in a couple of months just by eating smaller portions and more veggies than anything else. Not fun, but it worked!

Keto was too restrictive for me and my lifestyle, but we found a book called "always hungry" by a Boston Children's Hospital endocrinologist and we LOVE IT. The easiest way to describe it is modified keto with no carb counting and less dietary restrictions. My fiancé has lost like 10 pounds in 2 weeks, and we find it way easier/less restrictive than keto.

All you have to do is cut out the sugar, and drink atleast a gallon of water a day. Stay away from carbs too. if that doesnt work the omnitrition diet worked wonders for me. I lost 34 pounds in about a month and 1/2. stay with it. dont give up. The inches will look amazing once you see yourself start to lose them.

Try a waist trainer. It isn’t a permanent fix but should help you in the time frame you need.

I literally tried on my dress like 15 minutes ago with my shoes for the first time and realized that this dress, that fit so perfectly when I brought it home, is now giving me two choices: get my life together and get the new inch (or two) off of my body, or buy some serious extra-strength spanx. Smiley atonished We have 83 days to go. As of yesterday I'd already committed to doing "two a days" with strength training, continuing to go on walks with my 2 year old when she requests, and actually stopping to consider what I am stuffing into my pie hole *before* it goes in. It depends where you need to lose or gain inches, but I like doing strength training because not only does it kind of start to cinch your body in, so to speak, but having more muscle burns more calories all day. Thank goodness!

If all else fails....... I'm a retired dancer. I'm not above doing some fairly dubious diet things to drop some weight FAST and fit into non-stretch satin. Smiley surprise

ETA: Also, the raw foods diet was a miracle worker for me back in the day. I don't have the strength or budget to deal with it now as perfectly as I used to, with wedding, home buying, and toddler stress all rolled into one, but honestly, the more clean and raw foods you eat, the better, in my opinion.

Haha. Nope. You cut out most processed foods which are loaded with sodium. Then you actually have to supplement sodium, potassium and magnesium to keep your electrolytes in balance.

No wheat or flour. You count carbs. Lots of greens, no sugar (including fruit- berries are ok) lots of protein, dairy is ok too.

You definitely should! The book is on amazon for like $15. The first part is very medical, my fiancé and I are both in the medical field so we enjoyed that background, but the second half is recipes and meal planning and I would recommend it to anyone!

No soda or juice you'll drop 10 pounds in 3-4 weeks from that. If you do sugar in your coffee, tea or cereal, cut it. I dropped ten pounds when I stopped soda and was shocked.
If you do keto stay hydrated because it can give you rank breath that gets worse if your dehydrated.

The keto diet isn't good for you long term, maybe for a few weeks to help lose the weight.

I'd be more likely to suggest the intermittent fasting mentioned above. You typically don't eat for the same period of time everyday (say, 6pm to 6am). Fasted cardio can also make a big different when dropping weight (this is fasting until after you've done a cardio workout in the morning, so no breakfast until after)

I too have been working to drop weight. I have access to a sauna and steam room and have been using them religiously and they are definitely helping.

Also, do bodyweight exercises- don't use heavy (or any) weights, because this will add bulk to your frame that you don't need right now.

Try to only consume sugars that come from fruits if possible. No artificial crap.

Up your protein, decrease your carbs.

I've worked in health clubs and fitness centers my whole life and my fiance is a personal trainer, if you'd like any more specific advice feel free to message me.
