I haven't started "officially" looking for/trying on dresses yet, but I stopped in at the Macy's Bridal Boutique at the Menlo Mall (Edison, NJ) just for fun and to look. The attendant there told me that they offer some great discounts and that she had seen people walk out of there with dresses for $500 and less. Was definitely incentive for me to go back there and take a closer look when I can corral my friends and family to help me!

Try https://thebridalcloset.net/ It's in Lanoka Harbor. It was a bit of a drive for me but the dresses are BEAUTIFUL and affordable off the rack designer dresses. I originally bought a dress at David's Bridal then hated it because I saw it on every bride lol I went here and this woman is amazing!! She spoke to me on the phone for over an hour to get a feel of what I'm looking for, had me send her dress pics and stuck to my budget. I bought a beautiful designer Madison James dress for $800 that is STUNNING. And she let me be there for almost 3 hours trying on dresses. The dress shop is out of her home so it's super private and unlike any experience I've had (and I went to a ton of shops lol)
