Wedding Dress help

Milena, on December 17, 2020 at 5:00 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m desperately looking for my wedding dress. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find one that looks like any of the photos, and I would like to ask for your recommendation about stores and boutiques I could visit in Philadelphia or the northeast ( willing to travel between states).

Thank you!Wedding Dress help 1Wedding Dress help 2

These two exact dresses, or any very similar white applique on nude illusion netting, sexy styles? These look like Galina

If you’re willing to make a trip how about kleinfeld in Manhattan? They have such a huge selection and I had a really great experience there when I bought my dress.

If you go to Manhattan to check out Kleinfeld as pp suggests you should also check out RK Bridal there. They have a huge selection.

Nearly all designer photos are photoshopped with disproportionate models so they won't look the same as on a real person. Do a Yelp search for bridal salons in your area and be open to trying on all styles.

Are you willing to try BHLDN in philly? You could also look at other stores in D.C. and NYC.

I think that second dress is Pronovias. If not, they have a ton of dresses that look like that. There's probably a boutique near you!

YES!!!! And I hate the too unrealistic pictures of the models! It makes us feel like crap trying the dresses in reality. I am a photographer and work with photoshop a lot, and I hate seeing how some people photoshop their waist looking like they have no ribs 😩

The first dress is designed by Berta and the style number is 21-P106. I'm not sure if this dress is even available yet since it is part of a brand new collection.

The second dress is also designed by Berta and the style number is 18-115. According to this website, these stores have the dress for you to try on. My advice would be to call whichever store you would be interested in going to and make sure they actually have the dress available for you to try on since I'm not sure how accurate Dress Finder is.

There are couple of boutiques and bridal stores in Jenkintown/Abington, Pa. They are right outside of Philadelphia. I also looked at BHLDN

My dress is like the first one. Love it!

Super classy and elegant. The second one is lovely as well.
Have you tried online boutiques? I had my dress made by a company in Kosovo.

What is your budget? Those dresses look like they could be Berta, or a similar brand - not cheap!

Unless you have excellent bone structure, flawless bronzed skin, are 5'7" or taller and a size 2 or smaller, it's unlikely that any wedding dress will look similar on you. So make sure you keep your expectations realistic! Plus different dresses flatter different bodies in different ways, so there are going to be dresses look best on specific body types and complexions - there will be dresses that look better on curvy girls than long, lean, straight body models, and ones that flatter certain skin tones more than others.

Both of those dresses feature illusion lace and lace appliques on tulle with a nude underlay. So searching some of those terms may help. You can also do a Google "reverse image search" which can sometimes help you find similar looking garments that are actually for sale or listed on a designer or boutique website, and not just a styled shoot without any useful information. Good luck!

I got my Pronovias gown at La Belle Mariee in Langhorne, PA. It's been a great experience so far! They've been handling my alterations and have been very kind, even with my Covid-bride mini meltdowns LOL.
