Tough one. I think your best bet is to have your bridesmaids/husband carry the train, and you lift the front.

That's a great idea! I should ask the photographer if he has anything for my train to rest on so snow/ice doesn't get it messy...

Bring a pillowcase! You won’t want it showing so the train edges still might get muddy, but it should help the middle. Or try to take photos inside or on paved surfaces?

I had an outdoor wedding and your dress will get dirty haha. it is what it is though because it's mostly just the bottom that gets dirty where no one really sees it anyway. you can try to hike your dress up as much as you can whenever you walk around though to avoid that

If the ground is wet/muddy (or very dusty), your dress is going to get dirty, its unavoidable.

Picking up the train when you are walking (vs dragging it behind you) will help a lot. If the ground isn't too wet or too dusty, you will actually be able to avoid the train from getting too dirty if you do this. But if its muddy or very loose dust the dress is going to get some dirt on it the moment it touches the ground. Most of the dirt will be on the underside of the dress fortunately.

If the ground is frozen, its below freezing, or its snowy and cold enough, you might actually not get that dirty.

I'd definitely recruit help from your bridesmaids carrying your dress up off the ground as you're walking around outside!

Also coordinate with your photographer - ask if bringing a white sheet to place under your dress will help!! I've also heard that you can get your hem sprayed with fabric protector to help keep the bottom of your dress clean.
