My dress had been hanging in the garment bag it came in from the corner of my bookshelf since October. I have been dragging my feet because I don't know anything about gown preservation. There is a cleaner/laundromat in town that does it and I actually have a coupon for $15 off ...not sure what the whole service costs... but is there anything that might make one preservationist better than another? Did you have your dress preserved or will you? How did you choose? Did you have to send it out? What did it cost?

Those who are not sure what to do or don't have a reason to keep their dress, how about donating it to a non profit. (Tax deduction!)
I'm having my dress cleaned and donated to a non profit. Likely Brides Against Breast Cancer.

I checked out the NICU Helping Hands donation and they would not take my type of fabric (chiffon skirt) so just an FYI they were most interested in Satin dresses.
@Angel great idea, I didn't know they had such a non-profit, thank you for sharing.

There’s a dry cleaning business in Boston that top dry cleaners send wedding dresses to for them to clean and box. Anyone know the actual company and not the middle company?
