Wedding Dress Regrets

Hi Gals! I bought my dream dress without even thinking about sitting down. I can barely move! But standing it’s gorgeous. My alterations lady said this is the way it’s supposed to fit, but I’m starting to absolutely regret my decision as I feel like a stuffed sausage in it! It is 100% polyester and my wedding is in 10 days (just got the dress back and alterations were still disagreeing with it being too tight/how it’s supposed to fit).


Here are some photos and truly could use some advice, suggestions, or encouragement to wear this dress. Paid quite a bit and just getting so bummed! Wedding Dress Regrets 1

    Wow, that dress is absolutely gorgeous on you!! To me, it doesn't visibly look too tight when you're standing. I do see that sitting might be tricky, but honestly you'll only be sitting for the dinner part. Have a lovely wedding!

    If you're sitting behind a table, no one will notice. But if it feels too uncomfortable to tolerate, could you change into a more comfortable dress for the reception? Or maybe after the first dance?

    Thank you!! Yes, it is a catch 22 because it’s fine standing and so bad sitting!! I guess you are right that we are sitting for 30 minutes or so really… beware all brides to sit down at your shopping and alteration appointments 😂

    Yes, I purchased a dress to change into after the speeches, but maybe it makes sense to change right after dinner and before the speeches so we can go straight into dancing.
