I purchased my reception dress online from Cocomelody. I'm in love with the quality and price.

A lot of brides had good experiences with Azazie and Cocomelody. I believe both allow you to try at home and custom sizing. Me, I went to David's Bridal because my experience was that the dresses look different when you see them in person and on yourself. I would at least go into a store to get an idea of what shape you like.

I highly highly recommend Azazie! I tried several of their sample dresses and they were beautiful and affordable. The only downside with them is they don't customize the design.


I wanted very specific details, so I ordered mine from Etsy. I was able to communicate with the seller about adding some customizations, so I was able to have the dress of my dreams without breaking the bank too much.

Congratulations, I would definitely try on dresses in the boutiques to get an idea what styles look best on you, and it's really helpful to have a seamstress right their to answer your questions, many shops have them in house, I looked online first but ended up buying from a boutique, my dress is from Stella York, style 6979, if you care to see it!

I ordered mine online. I went to a few bridal places and boutique stores and tried on styles and sizes then looked the one I wanted up online and got it under half the price they wanted.

I was all over the place but originally bought a ballgown that was not me, and I exchanged it for my mermaid dress. You never know until you see things on you! Oh, and hydrate and eat. Dresses are heavy and you will be tired by the end.

There are probably ways for you to be beautiful without you having to deal with a shape you don't like! I have ordered mine online! I would say if you have enough time before the wedding to get a new dress in case it doesn't work out or look the way you want it to look, go for it!

I lucked out with mine. But my tip now for those ordering online is to go in person to try different styles out first because at least that gives you a better idea of how the style is before you get it online
