Wedding dress shopping

Jessica, on October 29, 2019 at 8:41 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
I'm so unsure on a dress. I know what style I like, I just have a good amount of weight to lose before I LOVE a dress. BUT times running out to order, our wedding is August 30, 2020.

Honest opinions, would the fit and flare style like this work for me if I don't lose my goal weight like I hope? Or should I go for more of an a-line dress?

If you are having any doubts at all, I say don’t get it. But that dress looks so good on you NOW or if you were to lose your goal weight!

I think that dress looks amazing on you. Very figure flattering. Get it girl.

But, yes, only if you feel comfortable.

    I agree!

I do think you have the figure for a fit & flare but try ones with more flare, and a few that might flare out higher. The bottom of that dress just looks blah and it has no shape so it’s not helping you. Try more!

If you have doubts about the dress don't buy it. If your only concern is how you look in it, then you shouldn't worry about it. You look beautiful.

    Get what makes you happy.

I agree with pp, if you're in love with the shape get one that flares a little higher. One with a built in corset helps a ton too! I gained 60lbs during chemo and I am dreading gown shopping but can't put it off anymore! I also agree that if you don't love it as you are now, then find one you do love now so that you aren't putting so much pressure on yourself!

I honestly like this dress on you now! I thought I wanted/needed an A-line dress because of my size but I didnt love not one A-line that I tried on. Before you commit I'd say try on all the silhouettes as they give different feelings.

You look beautiful in this dress, but I highly advise against ordering if you're not 100%. I thought I maybe loved a dress and ended up returning it a month after I got it (only for store credit, no refunds Smiley sad ). I would also advise against buying a dress for a weight you hope to achieve, weight loss is hard enough without the stress of wedding planning. Order something that you feel beautiful in the way you are right now, and if you do lose some weight you can always have it altered Smiley smile

I like the dress, but it looks too small for you right now. If it were in the correct size it would be beautiful. If you love the dress, order it in the size you are now and just make sure that it can be tailored to fit if you lose any weight!
