Wedding dress with a nude mesh and appliqués on top

Tricia, on November 5, 2016 at 12:00 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 33

I am a dark brown skinned bride to be and fell in love with a wedding dress with a nude mesh and appliqués on top creating an illusion of a strapless gown. I was wondering if any other woman of color has had a problem with the nude mesh not exactly blending in with their skin tone and whether you thought it looked bad or ruined the wedding pics. I've a,ready purchased the dress and the owner says she will remove the seams to make it blend more. Any opinions will be appreciated.

I'm not of color but tried on several of these because I thought I loved them. For me, my skin didn't math perfect either and I hated the way it looked on me. Pics of you in the dress would help though

Is there a possibility of the seamstress replacing the light colored mesh with one that more accurately blends with your skin tone?

I think she's right about the seam helping a lot if she takes it out as much as possible.

I agree kimmynjapan. I think I'll like it better without the seam

Thanks Bailey. The option actually was an ivory mesh; however, you lose the "nude" effect.

Tricia, your wedding day will be my one year anniversary with hubs :-)

I think the mesh looks fine on you from that photo. If you're self conscious still, consider seeing what colors of mesh they may have available for darker skin tones.
