Wedding Dress without a train

Do you ladies think a wedding dress looks funny without a train? I showed my mom my potential dress and she said it don't look like a real wedding dress . Honestly I don't see a problem with it, it saves money I don't have to get a train bustled.

Mine doesn't have a train and that is one of the reasons I love it. My wedding is in an non-air conditioned church in August and I wanted my dress to be as light as possible so I don't drown in my own sweat

I don't think you have to have a train. Mine is very very small and my mom is bustling because there isn't much to it, but if you don't want one don't have it. I love the dress that you posted.

@dragonfly - that was my wedding dress Smiley smile I loved it - no train - no extra costs for bustle. And I could run around, turn quickly and keep going without having to worry about tripping on the train Smiley smile

I'm not a fan of trains, I had an awesome bustle done on mine and kept it up the whole time.

I love trains, even my bms have trains Smiley smile. But I don't think the train makes the dress. Your dress is beautiful no train necessary.

You don't need a train if you don't want one. That's my thought on the matter in general. Your dress will look great without it. It's got a wedding gown-y feel in the pic, so not to worry.

I didn't want a train when I picked my particular gown; I was going to have it cut off. I'm leaning towards leaving it since it's very minimal.

My 1st dress does not have a train, I was going to get a chapel length veil to complete my look. You do not have to have a train and that dress you posted is beautiful and looks like a wedding gown to me.

My dress currently has a chapel train. I didn't want one at all. I am thinking about having it removed but I haven't decided yet. Don't listen to your mom if you love the dress, then get it, its your day. BTW of course that is a wedding dress.

I specifically searched for a wedding dress without a train. I look like a little kid playing dress up when I'm in a dress with a train.

I haven't bought my dress yet but hopefully this weekend but I am looking for a dress that has no train because both my wedding and reception will be outside. I don't want the train to get all dirty

I love it. It is without a doubt a wedding dress. If you don't want a train, don't get one. I had a sweep train and found that annoying.
