I'm in Virginia and found mine by first going to the dress designers website I liked and putting in my zip code to see where it was carrier. Lo and behold a boutique was right in my city! Also I price compared and thr boutique wasn't that much more than David's Bridal. Mori Lee is BEAUTIFUL! Size 0 up to like 30. Just recommending if you're on the hunt. And you can type in your zip code and find a boutique!

White Satin Bridal in (i think) Lombard was a great experience. Its a smaller shop but they might have your gem. I worked with the owner and she was FANTASTIC! If you are willing to make the drive up to Milwaukee you should try Amelishan Bridal in Hubertus. That's where I found my dress and my bridesmaid dresses. We also looked there for my best friends wedding. Huge selection, great prices, and ever single person on their staff is AMAZING!

Check out Bhldn, they have a great location in Chicago. Their dresses are gorgeous, and surprisingly well priced. Dress shopping there is a really fun experience too, it is a gorgeous store and the fitting rooms are private with a couch for your fam/friends and they serve champagne Be sure to make an appointment in advance though, it took a little while to get an appt time I could make.

I got mine at Bri'zan Couture in Naperville, IL in April. I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend going there on a weekday afternoon. I basically had the entire store to myself!
