Wedding Dress

Hi Everyone! My FH and I are supposed to get married June 28 in the Outer Banks, NC but sadly, my hope it will still be able to happen in June is dwindling. Even though we only have 25 guests, our venue is unsure if they will be holding weddings at that time and my FH is in the Navy, which currently has a travel ban until June 30th. Our Plan B is to legally get married in June, but postpone the wedding to November 22. My issue- my dress is strapless and it’s a beach wedding. If I add lace sleeves to my dress, will this even provide any warmth or should I just suck it up for the 15 minutes in my strapless gown? Thanks for your input! Smiley smile

I don’t think lace sleeves will add warmth but I could be wrong. I wore my gown outside in the NC mountains in November for an hour and a half, 30 min no pashmina for the ceremony, an hour of pictures where I wore my pashmina on and off. The weather was almost 10 degrees below the prediction. I was freezing but it was worth it to me, and our reception was inside. Side note the beach can be very windy and also the pashmina provided very little comfort. Wedding Dress 1

Hi Emily!! You never know in NC, it could be a really warm November day! Smiley laugh

I also agree with Mrs. S - lace sleeves probably wouldn't provide a lot of warmth anyway! I'd keep your dress as is and look into a decorative wrap, shawl, or faux fur stole to keep you warm if you need it!
