Wedding dresses on a budget

Hi ladies can you please suggest what stores might have sales and if they’re usually during Black Friday or cyber Monday etc? How would I find out? And what about sample sales?

I’m open to buying online too as long as I can return it knowing I can get the dress tailored. What website is reputable in cost and quality and return policy?
Or do you ladies know where I can get a good dress rental from?
My dream wedding dress (Elysee brand I think) is about $3-4k minimally before tax and tailoring and that is really pushing my budget for a one night wear.
My wedding is over a year away so I have some time to entertain all this.

I'm not sure what area you live in, but the bridal shops by me have trunk shows, and end of season off the rack sales where gowns are usually cheaper. The trunk shows I know are very popular, however like most wedding gowns they have a no return policy.

If you have Facebook, see if there is a "(Your town) wedding advice and inspo" page. They would point you in better local selection.

BHLDN by Anthrolpolgie usually has black Friday/cyber Monday sales- but I think some, not all, of the dresses are final sale. I'd just be careful to make sure if you buy one that it's returnable.

Hey Victoria,
If you go on Elysee's website, search their nearest store or boutiques that sell their gowns near you. The best thing to do is to just show up to any of those stores and let them know which brand you're interested in and sign up for their sample sales events. The key is to just show up and demonstrate interest to do business with them. Sample sales does not happen too often but when they do, you might get lucky and find the perfect gown for you. In the mean time, you can also go on stillwhite.com, it's second hand brand gowns, you might get lucky there too.
