Wedding Dresses under $1,000 in Dallas, TX

TeamFord, on September 18, 2013 at 3:05 PM Posted in Planning 1 9

My budget is between $600-$800 to leave room for alterations! So....I've come to find out that I have extravagant taste with a beer bottle budget!! :-( In an effort not to get discouraged, I need suggestions!! I have no problem buying a sample sale, or even a used wedding dress! I just need a good starting point! With a wedding date in May, I believe if I have to buy my dress new....I need to buy it now! So...I'm hoping I can find some good boutiques/bridal shops for a used dress. Please help!

I'd start by signing up for the email lists of any bridal shop within driving distance, that way you will know when they are having sample sales.

There are also a few nice designers who are either in your range, or just a little over-- check their websites for trunk shows, at which you'll be able to get about 10% off retail price. Suggestions: Alfred Angelo, Watters WToo, Mori Lee, Mon Cheri

Finally, it will generally be easier to find pre-owned gowns for sale online. If you are nervous about purchasing a gown sight unseen, you could try to find the same design at a local shop to try it on and see how the silhouette looks on you. (I found my own dress on Tradesy, pre-owned but unworn and unaltered, for 1/2 retail):

Hey! God bless Dallas bridesSmiley smile Try Terry Costa on Preson. When you walk in, don't be overwhelmed. Their regular dresses are pricey BUT they have their runway dresses that they sell on the spot. I fell in love with almost all of them, several of them being under $800. You may get lucky and find a designer gown in your price range!

    Good luck!

Anonymously Yours. It's where I got mine. I bought a 2011 (in January of this year) Pronovias for 400.

It doesn't have much by way of curb appeal, but the ladies are really nice and you can't beat the prices!

There's actually a great bridal salon called Mii's Bridal in Garland. The service isn't quite as nice as Circle Park, but you definitely get more bang for your buck. If you're looking for a nice boutique, Circle Park is the way to go. If you're really looking for a great deal and don't mind self-service, go for Mii's. I did, and I absolutely LOVED my dress.

I got my dress at Camille La Vie, they have a store at Grapevine Mills called Group USA. All of their dresses are under $900 and they have in house alterations if you need it.

They'll send you a catalog if you want to look at the styles.

Try Circle Park Bridal in Addison! They had a huge $99 rack when I went in. I got my dress from Lewisville Bridal for EXTRA-cheap, because I ended up buying their sample of a discontinued dress that I was supposed to be trying on just for the fit... And ended up loving it! So definitely hit up some sample sales, or maybe even call around to bridal salons to ask if they have any samples you could try on! I don't know if it will work but it's worth a shot!
