Wedding favor - Can Koozies??

Chelbi, on June 26, 2016 at 5:23 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 38

I know it's popular to do can koozies for weddings, and I do love the idea! Most of mine and my FH friends enjoy a good time, so I know they'll be used for years to come. Wasn't sure if there as a website that's better than others to order customized can koozies?

Thanks in advance!

Almost any favor website sells them my only recommendation would be consider shipping some are cheaper than others and they might not tell you til you are ready to order

I've been to weddings that did koozies, they were personalized with names and dates. Threw it out when I got home.

Koozies in general are great, but I suggest not personalizing them or keeping it to a minimum.

I looked into ordering off of a website and to be honest, the assistance you will receive for custom koozies will be limited. Most of the sites want you to select an existing design and just change your name, wedding date and colors.

I went to a local screenprinter whose design team helped truly customize the koozie that DH and I wanted for our favors. It actually was cheaper than ordering online.

If you're going to order, order less than the amount of people. I've never seen more than a third of people actually take them.. Usually they get left behind.

If you're intent on koozies.. A vendor told me that the best way to get guests to see them is to just let the bartenders serve drinks in them.

They may be a fun gift for your friends, but how many family members can you see using them?

As for sites, you can get them anywhere. oriental trading, custom ink, there are so many sites.

They were very popular at weddings I've gone to over the last few years, but after I had a couple from the first wedding, the rest went into the trash.

I use kookies all the time. I have a whole cabinet full but I know most people don't use them ever. I guess my advice is if you have the money and they are super cheap get them. We aren't doing favors because the whole night is a favor. And I never take them at weddings I go to

I would leave it behind. I think most favors that are personalized will be left behind or thrown away. I think the best favors people give at weddings are food/candy/edible treats.

But if you are really set on this check out Oriental Trading.

Other than when we go to the lake, I've never used, or seen anyone use these.

    Is this a regional thing?

It's so funny that everyone's saying they throw them. Oh my gosh, I and pretty much everyone I know have at least 5 in their car, and a drawer just for them in their house, haha. Maybe it's the small town in from, literally the only thing to do around here is drink. I personally love getting them at weddings because I can never have enough! Smiley smile thanks to all giving info on where to get them!

I love koozies. I have several from weddings that I've kept. I also live in FL where it's hotter than hell so people actually need to use koozies quite often. I'd rather use one from a friends wedding than a bud light or Moe's one.

My FH and I are planning to do personalized pint glasses. Many of our friends are microbeer drinkers and we know they'll use them. It'll end up being one of our splurge items.

I don't want to shit on anybody because I know a lot of brides have gotten really cute ones made for their wedding...but.

I just went through and finally threw out the ones I've kept for 5+ years over the weekend. Never used them a single time.

At every wedding I've been to with these as favors, the bride and groom were pushing handfuls of them at lingering guests at the end of the night because they had boxes full.

If you want to pay for them, I say go for them. If budget is super tight and you're looking for where to cut costs, this would be one of them.

I keep koozies! We have a small drawer with them, and we use them all the time.

Chelbi - you know your crowd, so if you think they will appreciate them, go for it! Custom Ink does them for a pretty good price...

Otherwise, like Mrs. Nicole said, you can probably skip them if you don't think they will use them.

I use koozies all the time, and so do our friends/fam. We ordered some from The Wedding Shop on Etsy. They're adorable and very unique. I say go for it Smiley smile

I don't like them and wouldn't take them. Rather get something edible tbh.
