Wedding favors

Alexandra, on March 12, 2022 at 7:55 AM Posted in Planning 11 5
Hello everyone I’m having a difficult decision on what to give for favors in my wedding and if I should put it on the tables of each guest or should I give it personally. Also, from where to get my invitations not sure yet. It’s so stressful.

From what I have read on here and see from wedding planner videos, wedding favors tend to get left behind and most times a waste of money. I love the favors and I'm sure the older crowd does as well (aunts and others who like keepsakes). Out of all the weddings that I have been to (3 lol) the only one that I've seen people take home was a mini bag that had a shot glass, cup cover, bottle openers and spray hand sanitizer. As for invitations I love Zazzle. I already have mine made on the site and just waiting to purchase them.

We’re doing personalized match boxes and are placing them at each place setting! As for invitations I’m thinking Shutterfly

For wedding favors you could use shot glasses, pens, some type of snack, candles, mints, bottle openers. It’s many little things you can try. Like someone said they do tend to get left behind so maybe handing them out or have a table near the exit door so they can take one on the way out. Also, I was thinking of using zazzle for my invitations. I use them for my save the dates and loved them!

If you must have favors, stick to edibles. They can double as escort cards for your assigned seating which is so much easier to navigate than an illegible chart that creates traffic jams and people forget where they are supposed to go.

Favors are the first thing that you can cut out if you are on a budget. Very few people actually take them home. Even when they are edible, they are often left behind. I’ve personally witnessed that a lot as a guest which made us decide to skip the favors.

You could easily skip the favours. If you do want them, they should be at the table or as Michelle says doubling for escort cards. If your wedding is in 4 months, I'd get on the invitations soon.
