Wedding favors

April, on January 14, 2021 at 1:57 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4
I tried to look up a wedding favors forum but WeddingWire keeps glitching when I try to read comments. Anyway, wedding favors - worth it or not? I don’t have much room in the budget to get something spectacular but I found rose gold keys that are bottle openers on Etsy that come with a cute little note that says “thank you for being here”. Rose gold goes perfect with the theme of my wedding. But, I’ve talked to previous brides. Some say many forget their favor and leave it on The table, others say it’s worth it to place them by the door.
Thoughts?

It's completely up to you really! All the weddings we've been to had favors. If they were drink koozies, they had them at the bar so the bartender gave you one with your drink. Other favors were on a table by the exit, guests grabbed one upon leaving. I really like your idea, and as a guest, I wouldn't leave it since it's something useful!

Most people on here are going to tell you to either skip the favors, or go with something edible.

We're doing drink Koozies because we know our crowd. Everyone drinks, and will use a koozie till it falls apart lol. We're going to have them located at the bar, and have the bartender hand them out when the guest gets their first drink!

Wedding favors are completely optional, but in my opinion, they're only worth it if they're edible. Otherwise they will get left behind and/or discarded. I for one have definitely thrown out favors I've received such as koozies, keychains, shot glasses, etc. But edible favors are always appreciated! If you don't have much to work with budget-wise, then I'd look into mints or small chocolates. Or, you can just skip favors altogether and nobody will notice Smiley smile

Save your money. They always get left behind, even the edibles.
