Wedding favors

Colleen, on September 29, 2021 at 6:56 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 2 4
We are having a small reception/dinner following our ceremony on a Friday evening in June for approximately 50 guests/35 households and I’m looking for unique party favor ideas. It is a small affair and we definitely want an individual favor for each household/guest vs a popcorn bar or something like that.what are some good ideas? I don’t need to be super frugal but would like to not spend more than $400. Thanks in advance!

It’s totally ok to skip favors! They’re not needed anymore. Why not save $400? If you REALLY want to gift something what about a personalize cookie that represents something you & your spouse love (your pets, logo of your favorite sports team, beach shell if you live near or love the ocean)?

$400 for 50 guests gives you a lot of room to do nice favors. The ones from past weddings that I have kept were shot glasses, coasters, and beach towels for a beach wedding. I think my fiancé's aunt did wine glasses with each guest's name on them. Anything edible is always good too.

Edible is always good! Especially if you are having drinking and dancing and no late night snack. my favorite favor ever was at a fall wedding. They did these huge gourmet caramel apples, which were sooooo appreciated toward the end of the evening when we had all been drinking and dancing and were starting to get hungry again! You could also put that money toward some sort of late night treat, if you weren’t already planning to do so. Pizzas and fast food tend to go over well late in the evening!

$400 goes a long way! I bought mini hand sanitizers from Bath & Bodyworks that were on clearance- spent around $50 (we had 100 guests). I found a local baker (supporting local businesses) that made chocolate covered toffee, that was $100. They were both a hit! There was absolutely nothing left behind!
