Hello everyone ! happy new year !
My husband and I got married last year through court. It was super spontaneous but we loved it. We have been together for 4 years and have two beautiful children Smiley smile anyway, we are getting married religiously in august! Am I still allowed to do a bachelorette, bridal shower and all of that stuff? My husband says “we are already married so what’s the point?” Lol but this is our BIG wedding. Like it’s a destination wedding, I even have two wedding dresses 😂😭.

Congratulations on an already successful marriage, and your upcoming celebration! Where will your destination wedding be??
When it comes to having a bachelorette party, you can definitely have one but it wouldn’t technically be a “bachelorette” party since you are already married and no longer a bachelorette. As far as wedding showers go, it is generally advised to not have a shower after you are already married, as it comes off as you being gift grabby. Instead of a bachelorette and a shower, perhaps you could just host a “pre-wedding celebration”, where are you get together with friends to celebrate and no gifts are involved.
