Wedding flowers are so expensive!

What are you ladies doing for your bouquets? I went to the florist yesterday and it was going to be $3,000 for everything! I'm thinking of just doing a bouquet for myself and then for the tables. Think of something else for the card table, gift table and bridesmaids, but what?

I'm getting these flowers from Sam's Club. It comes with 1 Bridal Bouquet, 4 Bridesmaids Bouquets, 1 Toss Away Bouquet, 6 Boutonnieres, 4 Corsages, 1 Box of Petals for $339.00. It's the exact amount I need.

I've priced our flowers locally and about $3500.00 is right. I'm looking at using The Bouqs a vendor here in WW. Also has anyone had experience with Sam's Club? I mean actually seen their work?

Im not spending $3500.00 on something that will be thrown away. My bouquet was also $375.00.

Our bouquets (1 bride, 1 moh, 4 bms), boutonnieres (1 groom, 6 gms, 1 fob, 1 ring bearer), corsage (mob) and a free toss bouquet including free delivery will be under $400 which includes tax.

I found bouquets at Michaels actually for $55! (For 9, 7 bridesmaids, 2 to put together for me) - I’m having a florist create flowers for our ceremony arch and add some baby’s breath/greenery to the michaels bouquets I already bought and then do the bouts. I also chose non floral centerpieces so that saved me money! I’m not a big flower person so the fake works for me!

For bridesmaids I’ll be making the bouquets just taking flowers from Ralphs or local flower shop and cute ribbon ! I opted to pay for my bouquet 130 which isn’t too bad but it comes with the toss bouquet !

Thanks! I'm not a big flower person, plus I love the idea of the extra subtle lighting because our venue is a restored barn that has twinkle lights wrapped around the rafters and the lanterns add a very romantic touch to it. I'm so excited to see how everything else turns out!

Edit: The lanterns are from Ikea for around $8 I think and they are roughly 8 inches tall.

I am going out the day before with my three bridesmaids to pick a ton of wildflowers. We'll arranged the centerpieces, bouquets, and boutineers (I know, spelled wrong) ourselves. FH and I are focusing on mostly greenery, with the most prominent flower being Queen Anne's Lace (a weed, so it's literally everywhere). It does help that we live in Northeastern PA, with lots of lush areas within half an hour's drive, I'm not sure if you'd have access to such easy vegetation where you live, but it's worth a shot Smiley smile

My bridal bouquet is $150. Perhaps get another quote from another florist, or ask the florist whether she could use less expensive blooms and still get a similar look.

i actually looked into Whole Foods doing my flowers and they give you a discount for providing your own containers. Unfortunately, the one florist who does wedding flowers there will be on maternity leave. However, she said that you can specify flower type and color which was my only concern.

I stuck to personal flowers only. I didn’t have BMs or GMs so I only needed bridal bouquet, MOH bouquet, flower girl petite bouquet, wrist corsage for my sister, and 7 boutonnières for BM, groom’s brothers, my BIL and 2 ring bearers. I got married in Brooklyn but live on LI and got quotes from florists in Brooklyn, Long Island and Manhattan and everyone was $800 and up. I finally tried one more local Long Island florist and her quote was $287! Flowers were beautiful and were just what I wanted.

I opted for non floral centerpieces and fortunately, my venue provided candles for the ceremony aisle and tables along with mirrored bases. The part of the centerpiece I provided cost $16/table.

We we didn’t have any flowers at the ceremony since it wasn’t necessary. We did rent a chuppah from the venue (flowy white fabric) for the ceremony and in addition to the candles down the aisle, the DOC (also provided by the venue) put a small round table near us and put candles and flowers from the previous night’s wedding on it (the flowers were in perfect condition). She also used the left over flowers on the dessert table and all 3 of our bouquets were placed on the sweetheart table for dinner.

i think candles are a low cost and elegant solution to use for a centerpiece and other decor to save in flowers.

That seems crazy to me too. My floral is included, bride, moh, 3 bridesmaids, both mother's, groom, bm, and 3 groomsmen. If we were to use outside florist and remove, it would only be $375 taken off. And we are using Rose bouquets and boutonnieres

I highly recommend silk and natural touch flowers. I found a vendor on Etsy called Wedideas, and my bouquet will cost about $200. I plan on getting some decorations for the alter and the end of each aisle, some smaller bouquets for my BP and boutonnieres for the guys, but with the research I've done, this won't cost me more than $600-700.

You may have already looked into or it may not be your style but I’ve see the petals for FG for less than $10 on stores like Hobby Lobby Or Michael’s and they also have them for $1 at the Dollar Tree for like 100 petals. 😊
