Wedding flowers preservation

Kevin, on August 31, 2020 at 8:51 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5
Hi everyone,

I’m trying to find someone to take my wedding flowers press them and make them into a Christmas ornaments to keep for myself and give my mom and mother in law as gifts. I have found a few shops on Etsy but they all want me to press the flowers myself. Has anyone does this before and can recommend a company? Thanks!

I tried to do it myself and it is super easy to press, the rest is up to you. I would say, try first! Youtube gave great instruction and you save money too.Wedding flowers preservation 1

I have a horrible time pressing flowers, they always turn to mush, but you can dry them in silica and they keep their shape and color. I’ve never tried pressing after though. I make ornaments (and other items) out of dried flowers with resin.

Unrelated. I found an artist to make a mini replica clay ornament! I thought it was a different way to preserve the memory. I can't wait for it to arrive.
