What route did you guys go for your wedding decorations.. mainly the flowers. This will be one of the bigger expenses and of course I am trying to save money! Has anyone used any of the online sites for ordering flowers, Sams Club, DIY, or just used a regular florist? I really want to save money on...

This will be one of the bigger expenses and of course I am trying to save money!

Has anyone used any of the online sites for ordering flowers, Sams Club, DIY, or just used a regular florist?

I really want to save money on this but I also would rather spend the money if its going to big too big of a hassle.

Also about how much did you spend in comparison to your budget?

I plan to use Sam's online for bridesmaid bouquets and boutinneers. My venue is including fresh flowers in my package so I am thankful.

We were going to go the DIY route with Costco flowers, but have since decided to go with a newly graduated florist.

I'm on a local wedding buy and sell group on FB. This young lady was advertising that she had recently graduated floral design school, looking to expand her portfolio, offering floral services at a very reasonable price in exchange for photos of her work. Initially, I was just going to have her do my bouquet, BP bouquets, boutinnieres, wristlet corsages, and 2 floral wreaths for the altar, and I was still going to DIY the centerpieces. Met up with her, to discuss details, and FH asked what it would cost to also do centerpieces. Well, the quote she gave me was the same as what I would pay for all the Costco flowers. There was no question, I was going to have her do the centerpieces too, she will deliver and set up at venue. Was a win for us, I don't have to try and figure out how we were going to transfer all flowers in buckets to the Airbnb house we are renting 45 mins from our home, and the hassle of making the centerpieces the night before, then transporting to the venue in the morning of wedding.

For $1350, we will be getting, bride bouquet, 3 BM bouquets, groom boutinniere, 3 GM boutinnieres, ring bearer boutinniere, 5 extra boutinnieres for VIPs, 3 corsage wristlets for mom and readers, 2 large floral wreaths which we place large hurricane with candle, 20 small centerpieces, 3 large centerpieces, rose petals for the aisle and loose flowers for the cake.

I am so happy that I will not have to stress about this. She may be new, but I am sure she will do a better job than I could since I have no experience with it. ETA: words

DIY is crazy. Doing flowers or anything near the wedding date/time is way over stressing. Pay a professional; worth every penny. Use fresh in season flowers. This can cut your bill down.

I'm spending $150 on my flowers... I'm having little ones like these for center pieces but in shades of purple and then big ones for me and my bridesmaids

@Mrs.FallBride I have to thank you. If Im not mistaken you recommended Arcadia Floral. We just had an appointment last Saturday woww was I happy with my quote, their quality & professionalism. Just walking in I was in awe. They asked who recommended me and I said a bride from WW but didn't have a name. They extended a thank you. We are doing floral samples later this month. Thereafter, we will book. Ps: I loved their albums. Thanks a ton.
