Any local specialties? Something in season? I think quality over originality is more important. If you like penne with bolognese, which at least in my circles is a common meal, just be just it’s a kicka** one.

What is the general vibe of your wedding? Is it buffet style, a catered sit down meal, food trucks? It's a bit difficult to give suggestions without knowing what your reception will look like.

I would start just calling around to local caterers to see who is still available this short notice. Being only 2-3 months out, you may be limited on what is available. Once you have a good idea of what options you have, you can choose the one you like the best or that best fits your budget.

I agree with this. You're very close to your date so I'd determine how much you're willing to spend on food and then call around to caterers and restaurants that offer catering in your area. There may not be too many options depending on how saturated the catering market is in your area. You can also check with your venue to see if they have any suggestions.

Apple cider, grilled cheese soldiers with tomato soup shots, and red wine are what come to mind for me! Call a few caterers or even reach out to your venue (if applicable) and ask them for recommendations and suggestions! Pinterest is also an excellent source for inspiration!

To be honest, there are so many cuisines out there that I don't think it would be helpful to specifically identify one cuisine (or a type of food), especially this close to the wedding.

I would be calling a few local, reputable caterers and seeing what they have to offer.

Being 3 months out, you may have to work around what they offer based on who is available.
