Wedding gift etiquette

Brianna , on October 15, 2020 at 4:15 PM Posted in Registry 0 9
What is the proper etiquette when you receive presents to your address? Should we bring those to the wedding to put on the table? Or should we go ahead and open them and give our guest thank you cards at our wedding? I’m not sure what we’re supposed to do.

You should go ahead and open it and send a thank you note. No need to bring it to the wedding.

I agree with Cyndy. Open it as you receive it, and immediately send a thank you note. I wouldn't bring it to the wedding, you'll have enough stuff to haul around that day as it is.

Just open it and mail a thank you note immediately. That's what we did!

You leave them at home and send a prompt thank you card through the mail.

Write thank you cards as you get the items. People sent them because they didn’t want to bring them to the event, and most people won’t bring physical items to a wedding beyond a card. Writing them as the come will also spread out the amount you have to write at one time.

Like everyone else above said: open and leave at home, send thank you notes in the mail. No need to bring them to the wedding! That's just more to worry about when it comes to packing up at the end of the wedding!
