Wedding Gifts

Mallory, on December 16, 2019 at 11:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Neither of our families really done a traditional wedding like we are doing. I'm the type of person that doesn't expect gifts, period. Even on Christmas or Birthdays and my FH doesnt know whether to expect them or not at our wedding. We will make a wedding registry, just in case family or friends do decide.

Question is: should we have a gift table and sign?

Sure you can have a gift table. A sign isn’t necessarily needed since people know what to do with a gift table and a card box.

Every wedding I've been to has a gift table and card box. We choose to have a sign with ours, but it isn't necessary.

You can have a table, but I don’t think the sign is necessary. Most people don’t bring physical gifts to weddings anyway. You definitely need a card box though.

I would. We're having a gift table with a sign and a card box. Guests will most likely bring cards to your wedding and some guests might bring gifts from your registry. I'm the exact same way where I don't expect anything. My FH and I also made a wedding registry but put on the card in our invites with where we are registered that we do not expect gifts but if they wanted to get us something we did create a registry.

Do you by chance have an image on what your card looks like?

I don't have a picture of the actual card with me because I'm at work, but I did make them on my computer at work and just printed them on card stock. This is the wording I used. Once I get home from work I'll take a picture of the actual one and attach it Smiley smile

Gifts are not expected, but if you wish to purchase something, we have registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond

We had a card and gift table and we actually had a few physical gifts out of 100 guests. I had a sign simply because it matched with my other table numbers and guestbook sign. I made them myself with the help of my husband so it wasn't expensive.

We had a small table with our guest book and a card box. A few people did bring gifts (but most sent them to our house in advance).
