Wedding guest list

Laura, on December 12, 2022 at 9:23 PM Posted in Planning 2 3
Hii girls!
I’m searching for some support and advice. So my wedding list is huge from my fiancé’s side including his parents and everyone else, and I feel some type of way that I only have around 60 people (my closest ones) because I want something a bit more intimate. I don’t want to be mean to prohibit him to invite to the wedding as many people but also I’m worried that I won’t have a great time because I am already overwhelmed about it. What do I need to do to feel better and what are your thoughts ?

I think the two of you need to sit down and discuss each of your visions for the wedding. That would include the guest list, budget, and style of the wedding. He might change his mind when he sees just how expensive weddings can be. Your guest list is a huge factor when it comes to budget. Most venues/caterers charge per person for meals and drinks.

That’s the problem, the money isn’t a big issue because the food comes out very cheap for person. I mean obviously affects but not that much. We have already the budget counting everyone but yes it can definitely be a bit cheaper if a lot of people that I have just met once don’t go. He feels obligated to invite them because they were part of his life at some point but I think differently.

If money isn't an issue I think you guys still need to sit down and discuss what you envision guest list wise. He should definitely not feel obligated to invite people just because they were once apart of his life.
