No need to wear it up. As you move your head side to side, people will see the details of the back just fine. Pick a style that will easily stay comfortable and neat all night. When you wear your hair up or down, a way you do not usually like, It is almost impossible to stop toughing it, smoothing it, stopping to look at it. And it shows in person, and photos. When you are in a style you really feel comfortable in, it shows. You are not a model for your dress, or wearing it up to be formal as maybe Mom or the hairdresser suggest. Pick something you want. You wear the hair and clothes, they don't wear you.

I am doing a side do. The back of my dress is also very detailed. I am also not into wearing my hair up.

Whatever hairstyle you end up with try not to go against your hairs natural tendencies. Also remember the hairstyle Has to last 8 to 10 hours which is why most brides opt for hair being put up rather than being left down

I had a detailed back but decided to put my hair down because I don’t like updo on me either- maybe you can do yours down but to the side? Or a ponytail?

My dress was also detailed, and I didn’t like updos on me either, so I did a half up/down curly hair. I also had a veil.

Same im so confused on if i shoulddo my hair down or up how i wanted butmy husband loves it down. And also the back of my dress is gorgeous. My hair is long so the curls will shoten it up the length.
