I love Zooey D! And this makes me want to stop growing out my bangs at least! I HATE my big fat forehead! Lol.

I really don't want to offend anyone, but have you considered choosing a hairstyle that involves pinning or sweeping your bangs off of your face? I think that bangs can look very dated, and I wouldn't want to run that risk for my wedding.

The bride we have in the hotel tonight had her hair like this but I couldn't really take a photo. She was very pale with black hair. She had blunt cut straight across bangs and her hair in a sleek ponytail with a sparkly headband. Absolutely striking! Something like what Taylor Swift has been doing lately. Just make sure your bangs aren't too short and your hair is super straight and it wont look dated at all.

Bangs only look dated if cut and styled in a dated way. I agree some of the styles above I don't care for the really blunt bang.

But, for those of us with high foreheads, an updo would just draw attention to it.

I for one like the retro look - but then again, I am old lol.

@Sandy - sorry but some of us that wear bangs are doing so because we HAVE TO, not because we want to. In my case I can't even sweep them across my forehead as I have a scar that I am very self-conscious about. Even with makeup it shows up as a white streak across my forehead and in pics to me that is all you see. So I wear bangs to cover it up.
