Hi ladies! I will be getting individual box braids done for my big day. I am wanting the braid ssd's pinned up into a bun. Hairstylist that's through my venue, they're wanting to charge an additional $175 just for this service (have attached pictures of the bun style) I thought this price was a bit steep but they told me they consider that a full style is why it would be $175. I canceled the hair package because I felt like it was too much. I would like your advice on this... What would you do???

That's a beautiful updo style. Try your local hair salons and see if there price is better. Make sure which you may know if it's cheaper than this, that hair is included.
Otherwise..it can be a bit pricey depending on how you look at it too. If you save adhead of time and do it for JUST your special day itll be worth it than

Hey Nefetera,
I am going to ask my hairstylist that will be doing my individual/box braids if she can also do the updo style as well. Only thing with that is our wedding is in Vegas, my hair appointment is 2 days before we fly out, which is fine... I just don't know if it's a good idea to have my hair already up 4 days prior to our wedding day?...

My hair was $120 on our wedding day with no braids and not including trial/travel/tip/makeup.

That's what I'm saying MrsD. My hair will already be braided all I want is them to pin my braids up into a bun... and they're saying $175 just for that because it is considered a full style😏

Hey sweetie, I think alot of people are confused by what you are trying to say. I do get it and THAT IS INSANE. It's $200 to physically get the hair braided then they want to charge you $175 to literally just pull it up in a ponytail. That's crazy! I am also getting married in Vegas in October and is planning on getting a sew-in with a closure and having a bridesmaid put the finishing touches on it. I think having your bun put in 4 days ahead is A bit risky. I would suggest maybe searching more (maybe check Instagram) for someone more familiar with black hair who can quote you a fair price. This is an easy style to achieve. I pull my box braids up like this all the time. Try some youtube tutorials to show you how.
