Wedding Hangers

How many of you have a special hanger for your wedding dress? My photographer recommended I get a nice hanger for my wedding dress for when she takes photos. But that got me thinking, should I go the personalized route or just buy any "nice" hanger?

I don't know where you are from, or if you have any "Ocean State Job Lots" near you, but I was able to purchase 5 wooden hangers for $1.00 at the store.

Then you can either personalize or decorate as you like. I love the glitter options shared on here. I personally kept the dark wood and personalized it with white vinyl.

Sigh...now I'm just wishing I had an entire closet full of glitter hangers. I don't even like glitter that much, but I think it would be pretty.

My last name will be "Best," so who better than me for a "Best Day Ever" theme right? Lol, I won't be doing one, but now after reading this post I'm thinking that I NEED at least a Best Day Ever dress hanger? Yes, yes I think I must. Crap, one more thing to buy.

@celia, as a photographer that's not a bad prop investment. i bet a lot of brides would be grateful to have that 'bride hanger' pic without buying one to never use again

Argh.... totally thought I'd be fine without one until I saw all the cute wooden ones with the names in pretty script across the top. Curse you, internet! Must you lure me into every possible cutesy bridal money trap?

I am having the same struggle. I don't know if I should spend money on one for myself and my 4 bridesmaids. If the dress was hanging up high for the photographer to take a picture, I don't think that everyone will be staring at the hanger. I would be staring at the dresses instead. Smiley smile

I ordered one from Etsy as well (a personalized one) for photos and for a keepsake as well. It was just $5!

I get them for my clients that have destination weddings. They are so cute! Pay the money and get it.

My dress has a lot of bling to it. I think I'll go with a traditional wooden hanger... although the BRIDE one does sound nice...

I always wanted the personalized hangers but wasn't willing to pay for them. Then I won free ones at a bridal show! Smiley laugh so excited to see them.

I diy'd, my hangers and ordered the vinyl letters from Etsy, they came out great!,

But I bought the wood hangers from TJ Maxx, I can get the cheap from any where, then just sand the shiny off then spray paint with the color of your choice, if u use glitter, put modge podge over it, then the glitter want come off.

If just spray painting, the vinyl letters are so easy to attach, n really cheap to order

When I get home , I'll load a picture of my final product

Amazon hangers and I used some sticker letters I already had in my scrapbooking box. The hangers cost me $10 for 8.

Hmm you guys finally got me. 60+ comments and I had to see what was going down.

I will add I got mine off etsy for 4 dollars a hanger from a seller in China. Pretty impressive I'd say, the ones with the wire and names
