Wedding Hashtag / guest photos

I used wedding Hashers! I had a few hashtags my friends and I had come up with but i wanted to see what they came up with before I decided which to use. The ones I got back were good and it was between one of theirs and the one I had originally come up with. I ended up going with the one I had thought of.

I am going to put a “scavenger hunt” card at each table with a list of different pictures for them to capture. Each table will have different lists. Things such as:

cutest couple (not the newlyweds)
groom watching bride from a distance
best dancer bustin’ a move
etc.

The WeddingWire community is actually pretty witty when it comes to making hashtags! You could absolutely start another discussion asking for hashtag help and see if a member is able to come up with something good! In terms of encouraging guests to take their own pictures, I've seen members do a scavenger hunt (as Megan mentioned) or maybe you could just have a sign saying something along the lines of "We love your photos! Tag #YourHashTagHere and share the love!" Something like that may help inspire guests to take pictures and use your hashtag! You could also have a "selfie station" with a selfie stick and a few costumes/props for people to take a selfie together!

I love coming up with hashtags! Could you clarify if its bow like bow and arrow or bow like take a bow?

I think there are plenty of ladies on here very good at the hashtag thing. I wouldn't waste $20. If you don't find any you like the first ask around, ask again at a later date here on the forum.

As far as encouraging to take pictures I have seen wedding signs (check pinterest) where it says something like please help us capture moments and the hashtag written on it. The more people you tell ahead of time the more you will get. Tell all your friends and family, post it on your wedding website if you have too! I too like the snapchat filter idea! We are going to do that as well cuz it's only like $5-10
