Wedding Hashtag...need opinions!

Kait M, on March 27, 2016 at 9:26 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11

Both my FH and I have last names that start with mc so these are the wedding hashtags we are debating

#WeEqualsMcSquared

#wE=mc2

I like how it looks all spelled out but he thinks the other way is easier. I claim typing words is easier than numbers and symbols. What do you guys think makes more sense? Be honest, I know we can go whatever we want but I'm curious what others think is easier for our guests.

WE=mc2 I was going to say that one but it is harder to type out, especially after a couple of drinks... lol.

Numbers in hashtags don't work on some social media sites. I like the first one better

Maybe try your first names like ___ weds ____ or something. I think numbers and hashtags can get a little tricky.

Typed out is better, I think sometimes symbols can break the hashtag on Instagram and/or Facebook

Can you just do #MCsquared or something to keep it shorter? I think most people who know you will get it

    Thanks guys!

My FBIL was giving me a hard time about the hashtag spelled out being "too long", and I was like "have you seen some other people's hashtags?"

The second option looks like it's simpler but when you keep switching keyboards it gets complicated.

I thought about #MCSquared first but that's used a lot on social media already, and its also the name of a glass company that makes pipes. Plus FH really wanted the "We equals" part in there, especially after we decided to have our wedding in Princeton, NJ, where Albert Einstein lived for a while.

The first one. I agree with you that it's easier to type words out.

The first one! I'm pretty sure that if you put an equals sign in there that it won't be a full hashtag like your hashtag that's clickable would just be #we and that's no good!

You guys are exactly right, a = gets left out or autocorrected on FB and instagram Is it wrong that feeling vindicated feels so good?
