Figure out a rough guest list and budget and start looking at venues. Unfortunately, the date doesn't really mean much until you have a venue locked down. After you found a venue that fits your budget and can accommodate your rough guest count, then you can start hiring other vendors. In terms of inspiration for decor and stuff, Pinterest is perfect for that.

Start with your budget and estimated guest count, and then start searching for venues! Once you have those figured out, start looking into other vendors (photographer, DJ, etc). The smaller details (colors, decorations, invitations, etc) can be figured out later. Wait until you're within a year of your wedding to officially choose your wedding party members. If you get stuck or need advice, always feel free to ask on these forums! Happy wedding planning!

Um i picked 8/14/21 cause it's not to hot or cold to have an outdoor wedding. Or if anyone wants to hangout side. My colors are going to be maroon, dark teal and grey

Figure out your guest count and that will help determine the venue for your wedding.

Like others have said, guest list and budget are top of the list. Venue is also an important thing to have in place (once you know how many people you need to accommodate, and what you can afford) before you can start making any decisions about design, etc. If you are planning on a traditional venue (vs. in your back yard or on a private property), you need to start looking right away because many venues are fully booked in 2021 due to COVID, and that may impact the date you ultimately choose.

Start with setting a budget then making a rough guest list. Have you started venue hunting yet? I would do that as soon as you have your budget and guest list set. Once you book a venue, you will have your actual wedding date. Just because there is a date you like does not mean it will be available at your dream venue.

Once you book a venue, I would start with researching and reaching out to photographers and caterers.

We started with what kind of wedding we wanted. Is it themed or traditional? Will we do a conventional ceremony, or will it be unique? Would we like to have it outside, or indoors?
After settling in on what we would like for our big day, we started working on the budget. Then we worked with our guest list, after know what we were working with and what we could afford.
