Wedding in 2 days & covid

Brooke, on August 10, 2021 at 11:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
So my wedding is this coming Friday! I have been doing good with being prepared and planning. I was getting excited, then about 2 weeks ago found out my fiancé’s immediate family got covid and are still having issues. Then I found out legit days later my parents have covid. I know the show must go on, such a long awaited and expensive day. But I just keep thinking how do I get married without my parents and his immediate family not there either? I never pictured this happening. It’s just crazy. I cry and then one second I’m okay. I feel like it’ll effect me more the day of. I’m going to have to cancel parent dances and walk down the isle by myself?
I guess I need advice and positive juju… Smiley heart

No advice...I just want to say that I'm so sorry for you! 😢 I'm glad that it sounds like everyone is doing okay but it still really sucks. Will you be able to livestream the ceremony at least?

I plan to have someone do FaceTime for most of the wedding. Just such a sad thing because I know they are all going to be really disappointed too.

I am so sorry, that is very devastating news. Maybe once everyone feels better you can get dressed up again with them and take pictures and go out to dinner or something! I hope you can still enjoy your day, even if it will be different than anticipated.

Is there an uncle or grandparent or someone else close that can walk you down the aisle?

Ugh, I am so sorry! Smiley heart lots of good juju your way. My wedding is on the 26th and it feels like we are crawling to the finish line with COVID. My heart goes out to you! I hope your day is still SO special & that you're able to create lifelong memories.

You can always plan to do a vow renewal/mini celebration once this pandemic settles down so you can have your special moments with your parents as well!

I wish I had better advice for you, I’m deeply sorry you’re having to go through this. I’m sending good vibes your way and I suppose just remember that it’s about you two and once everyone is healed up you can all be close again. And try to enjoy it as best you can! It will be beautiful I’m sure!
