I am in sticker shock My venue which includes lighting, doc, china, table linens, 12 hours is 3,000.00 food is 4,000 including bar. I read somewhere weddings are costing 35,000. Am I good at my budget or am I needing to look somewhere else?

I would say that’s pretty good. Make sure to keep tip and gratituity in mind. So it will be about $9000 give or take and then leaves you 10k for the rest which is good

Same. Our total is about double that, venue/food/bar is about half of the total. 125 guests.

I think the food cost is really good, but depends on your numbers. My food for the wedding reception is double that price and I have 60 guests. I went over budget to 25k (mine is a whole weekend), but if your venue and food is 7k then you can definitely prioritize what you are willing to splurge or cut and keep the 19k budget.

Our food and beverage is outrageous. It's gonna be amazing, but it's above 10K for 50. Moments like these are helpful to take a step back and run the numbers again. I realized at a certain point that I was planning a 25K wedding on 15K budget, and that if I wasn't comfortable/able to spend that much, I needed to stop and readjust what I was picking out. Needless to say, we're now planning a 30K wedding. Sigh.

My FH and I are paying for our wedding ourselves. Our budget is $7,000. We looked EVERYWHERE around the area to find the cheapest venue. That seems pretty standard for everything. Are the alcohol and food a flat rate or per person?
